It is time for Chennai Super Kings to work on their spin attack for the future. While Ravindra Jadeja is still there, the management must spend some time identifying a replacement for him. At the same time, they need to hire some good domestic spinners and have variety in the attack. This way, they can make the best use of their home conditions. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three uncapped spinners CSK can target for IPL 2025.
1) M Siddharth
A domestic player doing well for CSK has not happened in recent times. The local fans would like this and therefore, someone like Siddharth could be a target.
He was given a specific role in IPL 2024 at LSG. He did that to perfection. If Ravindra Jadeja is bowling in the middle overs, Siddharth will be a good choice in the powerplay for the franchise.
2) Tanush Kotian
Tanush Kotian is one of the uncapped spinners CSK can target for IPL 2025. The Mumbai cricketer is the ideal profile for CSK. While CSK might prefer R Ashwin as the right-arm off-spinner, Tanush could be a better prospect for the future.
Already, he is doing well in all the domestic tournaments. He is also very good with the bat and this adds further balance to the side. Therefore, he is on this list.
3) Suyash Sharma
Suyash Sharma had a blockbuster Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2024. He took a lot of wickets at an economy of under 5. However, the player was not able to do his best in IPL 2024. He spent most of his time on the bench for KKR.
That said, there is tremendous potential in him to become a top spinner in the future. He has a number of variations which could be honed further. Especially considering his age and his skill, CSK can invest in the Delhi spinner.
