Abhinav Manohar scored runs for fun in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20. He was in top form as he smashed away almost every bowling attack. While Gujarat Titans might consider getting him back, it is unlikely that they will retain him. Hence, Abhinav could go under the hammer. Here, we take a look at the list of three teams which could target Abhinav Manohar if he is released by Gujarat Titans.
1) Chennai Super Kings
The No.3 role has been a problem for CSK in the recent seasons. Also, the No.5 role was not a great success in IPL 2024. Considering these factors, CSK could target Abhinav Manohar, who would be a fantastic partner for Shivam Dube when the spinners are in the game.
Abhinav is a monster hitter against spin. He has now added some skills against the pacers, as well. He would be the ideal player to be a part of the middle-order, which was not in great form in IPL 2024.
2) Royal Challengers Bengaluru
RCB is one of the teams which could target Abhinav Manohar if he is released by Gujarat Titans. RCB already has Rajat Patidar who is a similar player. Also, RCB could retain Patidar before the auctions.
However, with such a talented homegrown player in the market, RCB should not be missing out on Abhinav Manohar. He grew up on the Chinnaswamy track and he can perform better here than most other players. Anyways, Abhinav would be a good fit for No.5.
3) Delhi Capitals
Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel and Tristan Stubbs could be the middle-order composition for DC in IPL 2025. Abhinav Manohar can make this middle order further dangerous.
At No.4 or No.5, he can take on the spinners and be the ideal complement for the others. Therefore, DC should think of going all out for the Karnataka cricketer.
