SRH did really well with their brand of cricket in IPL 2024. They reached the finals but faltered in the final step. Nevertheless, there is now hope for the fans to expect better in the coming seasons. However, they might have to lose some players to the Mega Auction before IPL 2025. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three SRH players whom RCB might target in IPL 2025 Auctions.
1) Aiden Markram
If RCB wants a new foreign captain to replace Faf du Plessis, Aiden Markram could be a very decent choice. He can also open the batting and also offers a spin option.
However, if RCB has other captaincy options in mind, they may not want to sign the South African cricketer. Instead, RCB could want Cameron Green to operate in the top order for the franchise.
2) Glenn Phillips
It is a no-brainer that RCB should invest in the Kiwi. He would be the ideal replacement for Dinesh Karthik in the playing XI. Along with that, he brings more power to the batting unit and also provides an additional spin option.
The player, though, could be the subject of the attention of multiple teams. His price might be high but it is rare to get a finisher of his quality. Hence, RCB could be forced to spend a lot at the auctions.
3) Abdul Samad
Abdul Samad is one of the SRH players whom RCB might target in IPL 2025 Auctions. Many RCB fans might not approve of this signing. However, it could be an intelligent acquisition for many reasons.
Samad has played as a finisher in the IPL for a while. He will only get better from now. The J&K youngster is a serious six-hitter and RCB needs someone with raw power in the squad. Plus, going forward, he can also develop as a spinner.
