Mumbai Indians have a clear agenda for the IPL 2024 Auctions. Their batting order is set and even the all-rounders are doing good. The team needs to build a bowling attack around Jasprit Bumrah. They have as many as three overseas slots which can be allocated to the bowlers. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three released RCB players whom Mumbai Indians might target in IPL 2024 Auctions.
1) Wanindu Hasaranga
It was Piyush Chawla and Kumar Kartikeya who led the spin attack for Mumbai Indians last season. They had a decent campaign. However, it would be difficult to expect them to deliver again in IPL 2024.
The team needs a leader in this regard. Wanindu Hasaranga is the best spinner who will go under the hammer at the event. Hence, Mumbai Indians could spend the bulk of their purse on the Sri Lankan all-rounder.
2) Josh Hazlewood
Josh Hazlewood is one of the released RCB players whom Mumbai Indians might target in IPL 2024 Auctions. Not many know that Josh has once played for Mumbai Indians in the past. The franchise could be ready to welcome back their former player.
Josh would be the ideal new-ball partner for Bumrah. He is known for his accuracy and building pressure on the batters. Bumrah also does that and together, they could wreak havoc.
3) Sid Kaul
There are some good options when it comes to domestic pace bowlers. However, Mumbai Indians do not have a big purse to go after most of them. Therefore, they could have to invest in someone experienced and is in decent form at the moment.
For MI, a domestic bowler is needed for the middle overs and probably for an over at the death. With his variations, Sid Kaul can be a good investment. In recent years, he has also been in good touch domestically.
