Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru have one of the fiercest rivalries in the IPL. This reached new heights in IPL 2024. This would make the tournament more interesting in the coming seasons. CSK will need to work on their squad and they could select some of the current RCB boys. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three RCB players whom CSK can target in IPL 2025 Auctions.
1) Faf du Plessis
Despite his age, Faf has been in top form in the IPL. Also, for the Super Kings’ franchises, he has been doing well both as a batter and as a skipper.
Faf and CSK have an emotional relationship and if Faf is available in the auctions, CSK is likely to go for him. He would be a neat fit at the top of the order.
2) Glenn Maxwell
Glenn Maxwell is one of the RCB players whom CSK can target in IPL 2025 Auctions. It is inevitable that RCB releases Maxwell before the auctions. He was poor in IPL 2024 and anyway, retention rules may not allow RCB to take a risk with Maxi.
If you take a look at franchises other than RCB in the IPL, CSK will be the best fit for the Aussie all-rounder. He is great against spin and he himself offers off-spin. His age profile also fits the franchise’s philosophy. Therefore, CSK could go all out for him.
3) Suyash Prabhudessai
Suyash Prabhudessai did not get too many chances to prove himself at RCB. The franchise has persisted with him but they have not been able to offer him a long rope.
In the batting department, CSK lacks a player who has a good range of shots, especially in the finishing department. Although he has a lot to improve, Suyash has talent in this regard. Hence, the Goa all-rounder can be a good choice for CSK.
