Either as a direct retention or through the RTM Card, Arshdeep Singh is set to remain at Punjab Kings. You could tell that Kagiso Rabada and Sam Curran were not the best new-ball partners for Arshdeep in the last few seasons. Here is another area where PBKS can improve. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three options Punjab Kings must target as Arshdeep Singh’s new-ball partner for IPL 2025.

1) Jofra Archer

It will be a massive statement if PBKS manages to sign Jofra Archer. It has been a while since the Englishman has played in the Indian Premier League.

Jofra is a quality cricketer who provides his services in all the phases of the game. He will be ideal with his hit-the-deck skills in the company of Arshdeep Singh.

2) Josh Hazlewood

Josh Hazlewood is one of the options Punjab Kings must target as Arshdeep Singh’s new-ball partner for IPL 2025. With Ricky Ponting at the helm, we could see a few Australian cricketers land in Punjab. Josh Hazlewood can be one of them.

Josh is someone with a great amount of experience. He can bowl in various phases and also complements the skillsets of Arshdeep Singh. With him operating in the powerplay, Arshdeep can focus more on the deathovers.

3) Bhuvneshwar Kumar

With the Impact Player Rule, PBKS can buy a pacer who shall bowl three overs in the powerplay and then leave the game. Although Bhuvi is a fine death bowler, as well, it is his value with the new ball that makes him a fine option to have in the side.

Anyways, for this role, PBKS could have an Indian option. Hence, they can opt for the veteran Indian pacer, who might also come at a cheap rate due to his age. Hence, Bhuvi is on this list.
