It will be hard for Punjab Kings to digest the loss against SRH. However, that happens in the IPL. Now, the management must take this opportunity to further fine-tune the side. Here, we take a look at the list of three minor tweaks Punjab Kings will want to make for their next game.
1) Play Vyshak V instead of Yash Thakur
It is surprising that after his brilliant first game, Vyshak V has not bowled in the IPL. He is one of the options available as an Impact Sub and hence, he is not injured.
Vyshak has better control in the middle and the death overs. Therefore, PBKS must make use of his services in the next matches.
2) Find a way to include Harpreet Brar in the Punjab Kings playing XI for the next game
Chahal is in poor form. Glenn Maxwell will be used only when there is a matchup. Hence, the PBKS spin attack is a bit thin.
Harpreet Brar is a quality option. He can do well in tandem with Chahal. Hence, Punjab must find a way to have him for the next matches.
3) Give better role clarity to Glenn Maxwell for the next two matches
Yes, Maxi is in poor form, but it is too early to give up on him. He is a class player and can be backed to come good for the side.
It is noted that Maxi is not playing at his preferred role in the batting unit. His role is not fixed. PBKS could extract better from him if they give him better role clarity.
