The Mumbai cricketer has confirmed his spot in the ODI XI

Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer has finally confirmed his spot in the playing XI of the ODI squad. India had been searching for a proper No.4 for a while now. Shreyas Iyer seems to have made the spot his own now. Considering the ODI World Cup will happen in India, Iyer will be an effective player in this spot.

India will want Iyer to stay in the same form. India’s top-order has been inconsistent while KL Rahul has also overall been inconsistent. Therefore, Iyer has to hold the batting line-up together. The likes of Suryakumar Yadav and Rishab Pant will also pose competition for this place. However, Iyer is ahead of everyone now. It is too late to try but India would also benefit if Iyer can roll his arm over at times.
