In a recent event, Mr Sanjiv Goenka mentioned that KL Rahul is a part of the Super Giants family. However, he did not reveal any details about his retention. In recent months, there have been reports that KL Rahul might be released by LSG. If that happens, there could be one slot vacant for LSG to retain another Indian. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three Indians LSG might retain if they release KL Rahul before IPL 2025.
1) Krunal Pandya
It is hard to get players like Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel and Krunal Pandya in the market. Krunal Pandya is a great contributor and is also quite experienced in the IPL now.
His all-round skills would be of great use to any side, especially for a franchise that plays seven games at the EKANA. If they can use his batting well, Krunal would further add balance to the side.
2) Ayush Badoni
Ayush Badoni is one of the Indians LSG might retain if they release KL Rahul before IPL 2025. The Delhi youngster has been a part of the side for a while now. In the difficult role that he plays, Ayush did well with his finishing skills in IPL 2024.
Ayush had a good arsenal of shots and is only improving. He can also offer something with the ball. Considering the future potential in him, he could be a retention in the uncapped slot for the franchise.
3) Arishin Kulkarni
Arishin Kulkarni made his debut but could not get a lot of chances. That was bound to happen for a teenager who just arrived from the U19 World Cup.
Arishin is a youngster with top potential. He is a rising all-rounder and is expected to do well in his career. LSG could take a risk on him because if he does well, LSG would have found a player for the future.
