1) Glenn Phillips

Rovman Powell was not that big a hit for RR in IPL 2024. This slot can be upgraded and Rahul Dravid might consider the signature of Glenn Phillips.

Shane Bond’s presence at the franchise could also push the franchise towards targeting this cricketer. Along with his finishing skills, Phillips can also bowl spin and be a backup wicket-keeper for the likes of Sanju Samson.

2) Glenn Maxwell

Glenn Maxwell is one of the foreign cricketers Rahul Dravid might target if he becomes Head Coach of Rajasthan Royals. RCB may not be able to afford to retain Maxi for IPL 2025.

He would be the perfect man to take up the No.4 role at RR. Riyan Parag is better against the pacers and hence, No.5 is good for him. Maxi can take on the spinners and provide the much-needed impetus in the middle overs for RR.

3) Marco Jansen

If Trent Boult cannot be retained, it would not be a surprise if Rahul Dravid prefers Marco Jansen over the Kiwi. As we all know, Rahul Dravid usually focusses on the future and Marco Jansen is certainly an exciting prospect in this regard.

Importantly, at No.7 or No.8, Marco adds terrific balance to the side as an all-rounder. On his day, he could finish games on his own. Hence, Dravid could try to target the cricketer.
