BCCI recently announced the contract renewals for this season. Interestingly, a few of these players, who are in the Indian Team plans, could be released by their IPL teams after the ongoing edition. Here, we take a look at the list of three BCCI contracted players who could be released after IPL 2025.
1) Mohammed Shami
Unless Shami has a solid last few games, it is unlikely that he will be retained by SRH. It has more to do with his salary, which does not justify his performances. SRH could consider getting him back at a lower fee or target someone else.
2) Rinku Singh is one of the BCCI contracted players who could be released after IPL 2025
One of Venkatesh Iyer or Rinku Singh is likely to be released. Rinku has not been in good touch, and he has hardly contributed since the start of IPL 2024. For Rinku, as well, a change in environment could be needed to restart his IPL career. Therefore, he is on this list.
3) Akash Deep
It was a surprise that LSG spent so much on a player who has not been a success in the T20 format. Therefore, it is inevitable that LSG will release him. The funds could be used to buy a frontline foreign pacer.
