At least when the IPL started, it was hard to break in as an uncapped cricketer. However, now, the level of uncapped players has increased. Teams focus on the talent and the combination. That said, while playing as an uncapped cricketer is not hard, getting captaincy is usually out of reach. In this regard, a few players have even stretched themselves to win the league as a captain while being uncapped in the T20I format. Here, we take a look at the list of two uncapped T20I players who have won the IPL as a captain.
1) Shane Warne
Not many thought the Rajasthan Royals would win the first season of IPL. Warne had never played T20Is until then and did not play after, as well. Yet, he led the side well from the front and helped them win the league. He was the first player to do so.
2) Rajat Patidar is one of the uncapped T20I players who won the IPL as a captain
After 18 years, yet another player repeated the feat, and that’s Rajat Patidar from RCB. It is shocking to know that he is yet to play the T20 format for India. Despite this, he is now an IPL winning skipper and an India call is not far away for him.
