RCB has such an exciting season that most of the players would love to be a part of the outfit again. However, there is a Mega Auction before IPL 2025 and the management may not be able to re-assemble the squad members again. Even some of the players will have their salaries reviewed and for some of the other reasons, as well, they might not want to stay at RCB for IPL 2025. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two talented RCB players who could decline retention before IPL 2025.

1) Cameron Green

While Cameron Green would desire to come back to RCB, he may not want to do that if he has a reduction in his salary. For the past season, the Aussie all-rounder has been earning more than INR 17 Cr for one season. If there is a Mega Auction and if he is on the retention list, Green will surely not earn that money.

In fact, with the likes of Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj ahead of him, Green will only earn a fraction of what he was earning before. For the talent that he is, there would be teams lining up to spend a lot on him. In this regard, Green could earn a lot of money at the auctions. Hence, he might want to enter it.

2) Yash Dayal

Yash Dayal is one of the talented RCB players who could decline retention before IPL 2025. If RCB retains him, at least for the moment, it will be as an uncapped cricketer.

Hence, Yash will have a reduction in his current salary. Considering his form and the skillsets that he has, other teams would be interested in his signature. Also, in the long run, the short boundaries at Chinnaswamy may not actually help Yash. Therefore, he might want to go under the hammer again.
