On the other hand, there are some players who chose not to participate in the upcoming auction. In this article, we will take a look at two popular IPL players who are not part of the IPL auction 2023.
1. Kedar Jadhav
Kedar Jadhav didn’t attract the bidders in the IPL 2022 mega auction in Bengaluru last time as he went unsold at the auction. For the record, he was part of CSK from IPL 2018 to 2020.
He was part of CSK’s title-winning campaign as the yellow brigade beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final to win the title. Kedar Jadhav’s last IPL appearance came at SRH in IPL 2021. Kedar Jadhav was left out of the final list as the franchises showed no sign of interest in bidding for him.
2. Steve Smith
Steve Smith who is one of the best batsmen in the world made up his mind to pull out of the IPL 2023 mini-auction. He is one of the most popular players in the world and has preferred not to take part in the auction.
Smith has been a part of the league from 2012 to 2021 as he aggregated 2485 runs at an average of 34.5. The right-handed batsman scored one century and 11 fifties to his name.
