Usually, players do not have a long gap in the IPL. If they do have it, on most occasions, they might struggle to make a comeback. However, in a few cases, it is different for some players. Due to various reasons, they miss out on several seasons. Depending on how they are going at the international level, sometimes, they could make a comeback. Usually, in such cases, players get sold at their base price. However, it is a bit different in IPL 2024. On that not, here, we take a look at the list of two talented players making a comeback to IPL after a gap of 7 or more years.

1) Mitchell Starc

Mitchell Starc is the popular name on this list. It was back in 2015 that the Australian fast bowler last played in the IPL. He was then a part of the RCB setup. Starc had a wonderful run back then. However, after that, he either missed the competition intentionally or sometimes had to pull out of it due to an injury.

Nevertheless, he is now the costliest player ever in IPL history. He would represent KKR and would lead the pace attack. Starc would definitely be under pressure because it has been a while since he last played in the competition.

2) Travis Head

Travis Head is one of the players making a comeback to IPL after a gap of 7 or more years. It was in 2017 that Head last played in the IPL. Since then, it is mainly due to form issues that he is not playing in the competition.

However, in recent months, his form has been brilliant. Hence, it is obvious that he would get a chance in the tournament. Head will play for SRH next season. He is likely to open the batting for the side and will yet again play under Daniel Vettori.
