In the past, we saw the likes of Yusuf Pathan-Irfan Pathan and Morne Morkel-Albie Morkel do well, too. Ahead of the upcoming auctions, too, there are a few brothers who could get picked. Here, we take a look at the list of two brothers of popular Indian cricketers who could get picked in IPL 2024 Auctions.
1) Mohammed Kaif – Mohammed Shami
Not many know that Mohammed Shami has a brother who plays competitive cricket. After a long time, Kaif returned to the Bengal Team for the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2023. An all-rounder, Kaif has been doing decent in the ongoing season.
It needs to be noted that Kaif has not played competitive T20 cricket. That said, we have seen the likes of Mukesh Kumar getting selected for the Indian T20I despite not playing in the IPL. Therefore, it is not a surprise if Shami‘s brother gets picked up in the auctions.
2) Musheer Khan – Sarfaraz Khan
Musheer Khan, the younger brother of Sarfaraz Khan, is also a part of this list of brothers of popular Indian cricketers who could get picked in IPL 2024 Auctions. The family of Sarfaraz Khan are all involved in cricket. While their father is a brilliant coach, both of Sarfaraz’s brothers are upcoming cricketers.
One of them, Musheer Khan, is in good form right now. He is a talented cricketer who has been impressive in various tournaments recently. Musheer can bat across the order and also has decent skills as a bowler. There are already reports that he attended the trials of a few IPL franchises. Interestingly, his brother Sarfaraz was released by Delhi. He would still be in demand. Nevertheless, it will be a proud moment for the family to see both the players go under the hammer on the same day.
