Team India are stuck in a very tricky situation currently in their ongoing second test against Bangladesh which is being played at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium. The Blues won the first match of this two-match test series pretty easily and thus they have a 1-0 lead. However, Bangladesh can turn things around by registering a win in this match which will hold India in a 1-1 draw in the series.
Talking about the second test match, Team India were in a pretty solid ground and were the favorites to win the match from the very beginning. The odds and luck seemed to be in their favor in the first three innings. However, things took an unexpected turn in the last innings when Bangladesh picked up 4 easy wickets. India now need 100 runs to win with 6 wickets in hand. It should still be an easy win for India but seeing the performance of Bangladeshi bowlers (India are 45/4), it will be a pretty hectic task.
Indian Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant must once again rise up to the occasion tomorrow just like he has done on numerous occasions for Team India in test cricket over the years. Even in India’s first innings, his counterattacking play helped India reach a decent score of 314 in their first innings. Rishabh Pant himself scored 93 runs in 104 deliveries, missing out on his century by just 7 runs.
India will hope for a similar performance from him tomorrow as well as we reach the climax of this match. Currently, Axar Patel and Jaydev Unadkat are on the pitch and they will resume the match tomorrow.
Despite Rishabh Pant being one of India’s main game changer in Test cricket for the last couple of years, he has been put under constant criticism by everyone. It is high time to put an end to this and Pant can do it himself with his performance tomorrow.
