‘Helmet of DK is really cool’-Twitter reacts as Dinesh Karthik wears a super cool helmet

Australia are locking horns with the Indian cricket team in the first T20I at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali. Australia’s T20I skipper Aaron Finch won the toss and invited the opposition to bat first.

Team India got off to a brilliant start in the form of KL Rahul who provided a great dimension on top of the order. The right-handed batter scored a sensational half-century, which was his 18th in T20Is.

Rahul shouldered his way through the game by scoring runs at the rate of knots. He ended up scoring 55 off 33 balls with the help of 4 boundaries and 3 sixes. Rahul batted at a strike rate of 157.14.

Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav also played really well. While Pandya scored a blistering 71 off just 30 balls (7 fours and 5 sixes), Suryakumar scored 46 off 25 balls (2 fours, 4 sixes).

Dinesh Karthik hogs limelight for his helmet

Meanwhile, experienced wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik didn’t have a good day at the office. The veteran cricketer could score only six runs off 5 balls before getting trapped for a leg-before wicket off Nathan Ellis.

Dinesh Karthik was dismissed on the very first ball of the 19th over. Despite getting dismissed for a cheap score, he hogged the limelight for some other reason. Guess what? His super cool Indian helmet was the most-talked-about subject on social media.

We have seen some cricketers donning different types of helmets. The likes of Kevin Pietersen, Kumar Sangakkara’s helmets were totally different from the ordinary ones. Those helmets still remain in the memories of the cricket fans across the world.

Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik donned a blue-coloured helmet, which looked super cool. Fans couldn’t stop commenting to the picture. Talking about the game, Team India posted  a massive total of 208 for the loss of two wickets in their quota of 20 overs.
