Although cricket was played for a long time, the format of Test cricket was recognized only a little later. In this regard, the first Test with international status was played in 1877. Held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia, the game was won by the hosts.
Moving on, almost a hundred years later, the first ODI was held. The format did get modified later on but officially, all different ODI versions are counted in the same category. This match, too, was held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and was won by the Aussies.
Australia was also a part of the first T20I encounter. The match was against neighbors New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland. Australia came out as a winner in this game, as well.
