IPL 2023 Auction is only two weeks away. Before the auction, a trade rumor has taken the internet by storm. As per rumors, MI have approached SRH for Kartik Tyagi. In the previous IPL season, Tyagi was with SRH, but he did not get enough opportunities to showcase his talent.
SunRisers Hyderabad have a plethora of fast bowlers in their squad, which is why it is unlikely that they will be able to give more opportunities to Tyagi in 2023 as well. As per the rumor, SRH have shown interest in this trade, and they want Tristan Stubbs from the Mumbai Indians team.
Speaking of the numbers of the two players, Kartik Tyagi made his IPL debut in 2020 for the Rajasthan Royals. In 2022, he joined the SunRisers Hyderabad. So far in three seasons, Tyagi has played 16 matches, where he has picked up 14 wickets at an economy rate of 9.47. His bowling strike rate is 25.79.
Tristan Stubbs, on the other hand, is a rising star of South African cricket. He joined the Mumbai Indians as a replacement at the end of IPL 2022 and did not play too many matches. Stubbs scored two runs in two matches at a strike rate of 50. However, he has a lot of potential, and SRH need some firepower in their batting lineup.
Fans should also note that Stubbs has been picked up by SRH-owned Sunrisers Eastern Cape team in the SA20 League. Thus, it could be another sign that the Hyderabad-based franchise are interested in the deal.
Fans on Twitter react to the rumor of MI and SRH trading Tristan Stubbs and Kartik Tyagi
If the trade between MI and SRH does take place, it will solve problems for both teams. Also, it will be beneficial for the two players because they will get opportunities to play in the league. Here is how the fans on Twitter reacted to the deal rumor:

MI have to play Archer, Brevis, and Tim David in the squad so there is a space of only one foreign player. They can get a handy foreign spinner in this auction and they will be fine with this trade. Lack on quality Indian bowler apart from Boom is a issue as well.

no need of this trade, we already have boom and archer
stubbs could be our main finisher along with Tim David
so leaving him would be a big mistakeAdvertisement— M.𓃵 (@Cricket35_) December 13, 2022
