“Unreal bad luck”, Twitter reacts to Virat Kohli getting out in a similar fashion in second innings as well
The crowd at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru were expecting Virat Kohli to finally get to his hundred. However, that has not happened. While he made 23 runs in the first innings, he made only 13 in the second. Unfortunately, for him, the dismissals were similar and were slightly uncontrollable in both innings. In this article, we take a look at how Twitter reacted to Virat Kohli getting out in a similar fashion in the second innings as in the first.
Virat Kohli’s average drops below 50
For the first time in five years, Virat Kohli’s average has dropped to below 50 in Test cricket. It has been a massive decline for the cricketer in the last few years. Virat Kohli has not scored a century in more than two years now and that is not expected from a player of his stature. He had a good opportunity to do well in the home Tests against Sri Lanka. However, both his bad form and tough luck did not allow him to perform well. Now, Virat has an average of under 50 in Test cricket.
Twitter reacts to Virat Kohli getting out in a similar fashion in the second innings
In the first innings, Virat Kohli actually had a good start to his stay at the crease. He was scoring well but a ball by Dhananjaya de Silva stayed low and stuck him in front of the pads. Virat was on the back foot and hence, he could not deal with the ball that kept low.
Incidentally, in the second innings, too, Virat faced a similar fate. This time around, the delivery by Praveen Jayawickrama did not bounce as expected and since Virat was on the back foot, he found himself in a similar situation as in the first innings. This ball too hit him on the pads in front of the stumps.
In both cases, Virat Kohli decided against a review and walked back much to the disappointment of the fans at the stadium. Twitter had varying opinions on Virat’s luck and here are a few in the below section:
Virat Kohli is so so unlucky man. For the second time got out on a delivery which didn't rise. Unreal bad luck.

What is with Virat Kohli and luck ? 2nd dismissal of the same kind this test match. Ball kissing through the surface onto his pads. When it's not your time, nothing…absolutely nothing goes your way !
