MS Dhoni is not just a name but an emotion in the glorious chapter of Indian cricket. His contribution to the Indian cricket team as a batsman, captain and wicketkeeper will forever be etched in the history books.
The cricketing brain has well and truly changed the entire complexion of Indian cricket during the playing days of his cricketing career. Under his captaincy, Team India achieved great heights in international cricket.
By raising their standards, they were able to win most of the crucial matches. It all started when India won the inaugural edition of the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup 2007 by beating Pakistan in the final.
After bagging the first T20 World Cup title, India also went on to win the second ODI World Cup by beating Sri Lanka in the final. The Men in Blue also won the Champions Trophy in 2013 by beating England in the final.
MS Dhoni says he enjoys when people say he is lucky
Dhoni is also the one and only captain in the history of cricket to have won three different ICC honours, a record which still remains intact. Meanwhile, MS Dhoni said he literally enjoys when people in India say he is lucky.
He also came up with a valid explanation for why he totally enjoys it when people call him lucky. Dhoni said it is predominantly because of the vast number of people that offer prayers for him beside the admiration and affection shown by scores of people.
MS Dhoni called it quits from international cricket in late August 15, 2020, as he announced his retirement via his official Instagram handle. The veteran cricketer will be next seen in action for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. Under his captaincy, CSK have won four titles so far in the premier T20 tournament.
We're lucky to have him ❤
