“This is sheer domination from Team India”, Twitter reacts as India defeats Australia in the first test of the BGT 2023 by an innings and 132 runs

India wins the match by an innings and 132 runs, which is the most emphatic possible start to the series. Australia’s 10-wicket collapse occurred in a single session. Coming to India is like diving into a black hole; knowing what to expect is one thing, but really being able to face it is another.

India took control early on and never trailed, even after being reduced to 168-5. India’s innings was set up by Rohit Sharma’s century, while Ravindra Jadeja was outstanding across the board.

Although this collapse shows that India would have had enough runs without Axar Patel‘s help at the plate, he still did a good job. As a nation, Australia has a lot to think about.

Before the Test, they dealt with some injury concerns and took the bold decision to bench Travis Head. Cameron Green and Mitchell Starc’s comeback would be welcome, but they have a tall order to re-enter this series. The fall today will get all the attention, but the game was gone when the first-inning score reached 177. Cricket’s catch-up game is very challenging.
