Harbhajan Singh has responded to a hilarious news headline which was published by a Hindi newspaper about him and the Indian test captain Virat Kohli. A couple of years ago, while wishing Virat Kohli on his birthday, Harbhajan had called Kohli his “brother from another mother”.

It was a figure of speech used by Harbhajan to emphasise how close he is to Kohli and how strong a bond the two players share between each other. But, the Hindi newspaper did not just take it out of context, it also published the wrong translation of it. The headline in the newspaper was, “Bhajji ne Kohli ko doosri maa kaha” (Bhajji called Kohli his second mother).

While Harbhajan Singh didn’t really notice it and respond to it at the time it was published, he responded to it earlier today on Twitter by putting a picture of the newspaper with a lot of laughing emojis in the caption. It was a headline that was truly hilarious, and even the Indian fans on Twitter couldn’t control their laugh.

Harbhajan Singh was a well settled international cricketer when Kohli came into the Indian set-up

Harbhajan Singh and Kohli have always had a great tuning, right since the initial days of Kohli’s international career. Recently when Harbhajan announced his retirement, Kohli said, in a video released by BCCI, that when he was new to the international arena, Harbhajan always encouraged him and backed him to the hilt.

When Kohli was picked for the first time in 2008, Harbhajan was already a settled member of the Indian national squad and was a certainty in the playing XI of India in all formats of the game. However, as Kohli established himself in the Indian squad, Harbhajan slowly faded away and got dropped from the side.

Harbhajan later made his comeback in test cricket in 2015 against Sri Lanka, when Kohli took over the test captaincy, but was dropped again after one series on the back of lacklustre performance.
