India suffers a disappointing 5-wicket loss against South Africa 

In what was a fiery pitch in Perth, South Africa pounded India by 5 wickets to boost their chances to qualify for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022. Batting first, India had no answers to the pace bowling of the Proteas.

Lungi Ngidi wreaked havoc across the Indian batting lineup and left them tottering at 49/5. But it was a sensational effort from Suryakumar Yadav, who smashed 68 runs in tough conditions to help India post a competitive total of 133 runs on the board.

Arshdeep Singh then took India off the flyer as he removed Quinton de Kock (1) and Rilee Rossouw (0) in his first over before Mohammad Shami chipped in to remove Temba Bavuma for 10 runs to leave South Africa tottering at 24/3.

But after that, it was the duo of Aiden Markram (51) and David Miller (59*) who took charge to the Indian bowlers and smashed 76 runs partnership to take their side home with 5 wickets in hand.
