Sunrisers Hyderabad haven’t really provided the right spark in their approach this season. In the previous edition, they failed to operate as a team and missed out on qualifying for the playoffs by finishing eighth on the points table.

Talking about their performances this season, they haven’t switched gears in the highly-competitive tournament. They lost to Rajasthan Royals by a big margin of 72 runs at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad in the fourth match of IPL 2023.

Later on, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost to Lucknow Super Giants in the 10th match of the IPL. KL Rahul and Co beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

However, Sunrisers Hyderabad eventually opened their account with a win over Punjab Kings in the 14th match of the IPL. Sunrisers Hyderabad won the game by eight wickets. Aiden Markram and Co stuck with the same winning template as they won the next game against Kolkata Knight Riders by 23 runs at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
