Recently, Star Sports announced the list of commentators for the upcoming season of IPL. It is a star-studded line-up with active and retired cricketers from across the globe featuring on the panel. As usual, Star also announced the regional commentators for the campaign. Interestingly, this list features two foreign players who will be working as Hindi commentators. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two active foreign cricketers who will be Hindi commentators in IPL 2024.
1) Imran Tahir – South Africa
Even in the past, Imran Tahir has been a commentator in the Hindi language. His latest assignment as a player was his gig with Joburg Super Kings in the second edition of the SA20 T20 League. While many expected him to get a role in CSK as a coach, that has not transpired.
Nevertheless, his experience and input as a commentator will be engaging for the fans. He is a modern T20 spinner and with him still being active in the game, we could hear some interesting information.
2) Unmukt Chand – USA
Unmukt Chand is a part of this list of active foreign cricketers who will be Hindi commentators in IPL 2024. The Indian cricketer recently retired from Indian cricket and decided to explore chances in the USA. Since then, he has been playing in various leagues across the globe. Now, he is all set to represent the USA in the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup.
In the midst of all of this, it is an interesting development that he will be in India to be a commentator. In this regard, it is not a surprise that he will be doing commentary in a regional language. For him, he could use this chance to prepare for the World Cup by interacting with some players and legends in the panel.
