IND vs SA Live Update: Former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar was effusive in his praise for India’s 28-year-old star Hardik Pandya, calling him a “very flexible player.” Bangar has been involved with India’s batting in the past. The top player has only just made his comeback to the Indian side for the first time in seven months. He has been selected to participate in the upcoming five-match Twenty20 International series against South Africa.

Hardik Pandya had a successful return to cricket in the just-completed Indian Premier League 2022 (IPL 2022), where he batted with responsibility up the order for Gujarat Titans and scored huge runs while also picking up wickets. His outstanding performance earned him a call-up to the India team for the first time since the Twenty20 World Cup in 2021.

“He is a very player who has put a lot of effort into strengthening the fundamentals of his game. You may also use him in the No. 4 and No. 6 positions,” he stated.

“When I used to speak to Hardik, he would always say that he wanted to have a strong foundation, and he would always pay a lot of attention to it. He would always emphasize that he wanted to have a healthy foundation. That in itself is a change. When you’ve got everything figured out with your game, you’ll have the ability to adapt it to any circumstance,” Bangar said.

Hardik’s ability to close off games is something he has acquired expertise with thanks to his numerous partnerships with MS Dhoni, who was the previous captain of India. The former India batter praised Hardik for this talent.

“He (Hardik) is a player who has been performing the job of finisher for the Indian squad for a significant amount of time. He has formed partnerships with MS Dhoni and the other batsmen in the lower order and shared his experiences with them. In light of this, I believe that he is a versatile player,” he added.
