“Don’t you guys have something nice to do?”, Wasim Akram loses his cool when a fan questions him about Rizwan’s lip balm

Pakistan is now starring down an early exit from the ICC World T20 2022 in Australia. They lost the opening match against their arch-rivals India at the MCG, courtesy of a Virat Kohli masterclass. However, the surprising thing was that they lost their second game against Zimbabwe by just 1 run.

Hence, they desperately needed to win all their last three games, and also needed India to win their game against South Africa. Pakistan managed to win against the Netherlands at Perth. However, the Indian team lost their game against South Africa in the final over. Now, it is very tough for them to qualify for the semi-finals.

The opening partnership of Mohammad Rizwana and Babar Azam has scored about 70 per cent of the runs for the team in T20I’s in the last two years. However, they have struggled to get going. Rizwan is the number one batsman in the ICC T20I rankings. However, he has often faced criticism for his strike rate, which is merely around 123. He has also struggled to score runs in this year’s World Cup.

One peculiar thing about Rizwan is that he used Zinc Oxide on his lips when he is on the field. The players generally apply Zinc Oxide to the areas which are exposed to sunlight.

Former Pakistan fast bowler and legend, Wasim Akram, was participating in a cricket talk show with Misbah-ul-Haq, Waqar Younis and Shoaib Malik on the Pakistani channel A Sports. There, a Pakistani fan questioned him why Rizwan uses the white lip balm on his lips, while the other players don’t use it.

Akram lost his cool in the show and said that he is not going to answer such a question. He criticised the fan by saying that the question did not concern cricket at all.

One of the fans asked Akram: “Why Rizwan keeps wearing the lip bam when not even a single player from any other country is wearing it?”

“This is just a random question. Cricket ki isme baat kya hai. Inne velle baithe ho saare (It is not even about cricket, don’t you guys have something nice to do). I can’t answer this crap,” said Akram.
