Rahul Chahar is one of those young Indian bowlers who don’t shy away from expressing their sentiments and it was there on display again in the ongoing first-class match between India A and South Africa A where the Indian bowlers conceded a lot of runs, bowling first.

While the pitch was flat altogether, it was particularly hard for the spinners as there was no purchase in the surface at all. Rahul Chahar toiled hard all day and when he had an opportunity to get an LBW while bowling from around the stumps, the umpire denied the appeal which didn’t sit well with Chahar.

Generally, it’s not that easy for the leg spinners to get LBW appeals in their favor while bowling from around the stumps to a right-hander because of most of the deliveries from that angle pitch outside the leg stump. However on that occasion, the ball seemed to have pitched on the middle, but the umpire thought it would have missed the off stump with the natural turn and the angle.

Rahul Chahar thought the ball wouldn’t have missed the off stump

Rahul Chahar, however, had a different opinion as he thought the ball would not have left the right-hander enough on the angle to miss the off stump and the ball would have probably crashed the off stump. The 22-year-old leg spinner first threw his sunglasses on the ground and then had a heated exchange of words with the umpire.

It was not the first time that Rahul Chahar was seen angry on the field. Even in the IPL, his celebrations have been very passionate a couple of times, but arguing with the umpire might get him into slight trouble here with the match referee at the end of the game.
