Chennai Super Kings finally won their first game of IPL 2022. The team defeated arch-rivals Royal Challengers Bangalore by 23 runs to open their account this season. CSK gets its first win of the season
Put in to bat first, CSK did not get off to a good start. RCB was missing Harshal Patel and hence, the middle-overs strategy was different for them. CSK made use of this as Shivam Dube and Robin Uthappa batted brilliantly to get a stunning total for the team. While Robbie made 88(50), Shivam got his best score of 95(46)* to help CSK post a total of 216 runs.
RCB struggled with the loss of early wickets but the middle-order stepped up to take the game close. It was a hard chase but DK was striking well and hence, they were in the game. The cricketer made 34(14) and really looked dangerous for the opposition. Hence, when his wicket fell, the entire CSK team was relieved.
