Yuvraj Singh is of the view that Rohit Sharma is not really struggling with his batting form too much, he is just proving a bit unlucky, but he needs to be in a good mental space because something big must be on the horizon for him.

While Mumbai Indians have struggled to make any sort of impact in IPL 2022 as a team, Rohit Sharma himself hasn’t scored too many runs as a batsman either. But, what’s surprising is that Rohit has not looked horribly out of form whenever he has come out to bat.

In most of his innings, Rohit has middled the ball well and has played some extraordinary shots, but has got out after playing cameos, rather than going on and playing a match-defining innings. The Mumbai Indians captain hasn’t got even one fifty to his name in the ongoing IPL so far.

Yuvraj Singh had backed Rohit before 2019 ODI World Cup as well

According to Yuvraj Singh, Rohit has just been a bit unlucky and nothing else. Last time when Rohit was struggling with his form a little bit, right before the ODI World Cup 2019, Yuvraj had said something on similar lines and Rohit then went on to score five hundreds in the World Cup in England.

There is a lot of cricket to be played after the IPL which includes a T20 World Cup in Australia as well, where Rohit will be captaining the Indian team and the Indian fans would want Rohit to regain his form there and make up for all his lack of runs that’s there currently.

Rohit, at the top of the order, will be a very important batsman for India on Australian pitches and his batting, apart from his captaincy, will go a long way in determining how far India reaches in that tournament and if they eventually lift the trophy. Rohit will need to score a lot of runs.
