Texas Super Kings will be the representation of the CSK owners in Major League Cricket 2023. The team recently announced overseas acquisitions, as well. As per the rules of MLC, six overseas players can be a part of a playing XI and a minimum of five domestic cricketers must be in the playing XI. On that note, here, we take a look at the predicted playing XI for Texas Super Kings in Major League Cricket.
Openers: Faf du Plessis (C) and Devon Conway (WK)
It was not a surprise that Faf du Plessis will be on the roster of this squad. Considering he is in good form, he will look to do well in this competition. Devon Conway was also in brilliant touch in IPL 2023 and might also have to keep wickets here.
Middle-Order: Sami Aslam, Milind Kumar and David Miller
Sami Aslam, a 27-year-old Pakistan cricketer, has played Test cricket for his nation. Milind Kumar has done well in the Ranji Trophy in the past. Both these players will lead the domestic contingent of this squad. David Miller will have to take care of the finishing duties.
All-Rounders: Dwayne Bravo, Calvin Savage and Mitchell Santner
Dwayne Bravo and Mitchell Santner will be the primary all-rounders in the predicted playing XI for Texas Super Kings in Major League Cricket. Bravo might play a few games but if he does not do well, Daniel Sams could get into the squad. Santner will lead the spin attack for this side.
Bowlers: Zia Shahzad, Rusty Theron and Gerald Coetzee
Zia Shahzad will be the other lead spinner in this squad while veteran Rusty Theron along with the talented Coetzee will form the pace attack. Coetzee will also offer services with the willow but his main contribution will have to come with the ball in hand.
