“Perform Well In Couple Of Series Before IPL Auction And Go For Big Bucks”- Ashish Nehra Talks About Difference Between David Miller And Caribbean Players

Former Indian cricket team fast bowler Ashish Nehra recently talked about how David Miller is different from some of the cricketers of the West Indies cricket team. Ashish, who was the head of the IPL-winning Gujarat Titans team in IPL 2022, said that the Caribbean players perform well in a couple of series before the mega auction, which leads to franchises bidding for them heavily.

Some players of the West Indies cricket team performed exceptionally well in the series against the Indian cricket team before the IPL auction, and it led to big IPL contracts for the two players.

However, as per Ashish Nehra, David Miller is different. He has been performing well in international cricket for quite some time and also he always had the potential. Here’s what he said in a discussion on Cricbuzz Live:

“Miller had that confidence and he showed it in the IPL, he also has experience and the ability. This did not happen overnight, it is not like he performed well for a couple of series before the IPL and went for big bucks at the auction like some Caribbean players.”

The 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League concluded last month at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where the Gujarat Titans defeated the Rajasthan Royals to win their maiden trophy.

Ashish Nehra played an integral role in the team’s success. The players of the squad credited him for keeping the team’s atmosphere cool and light. Miller was one of the best performers for the Titans this season.

It is likely that Miller will be retained by the Gujarat Titans for the next season as well. But IPL 2023 is still far away. Now Miller’s focus will be to help South Africa win their first ICC T20 World Cup title.
