Gujarat Titans locked horns with Punjab Kings in the 18th match of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. The match took place at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali.

Talking about the game, Gujarat Titans’ skipper, Hardik Pandya won the toss and invited Punjab Kings to bat first. The Mohali-based franchise ended up scoring 153/8 in their quota of 20 overs.

Matthew Short top-scored with 36 off 24 balls including six fours and 1 six. On the other hand, Mohit Sharma was the pick of the bowlers for Gujarat Titans as he registered 2/18 in his quota of four overs.

In response, Gujarat Titans got off to a scintillating start to the game in the form of Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill as the duo added a quickfire 48-run stand for the first wicket before Kagiso Rabada dismissed Saha for 30 off 19.

Shubman Gill was the pick of the batters for Gujarat Titans in the run-chase as he scored 67 off 49 balls including seven fours and a six. On the other hand, GT skipper, Hardik Pandya had a terrible day at the office.

There were a lot of expectations of Hardik Pandya but the latter failed to live up to his reputation as he was dismissed for eight runs off eleven deliveries as he fell prey to Harpreet Brar’s delivery.

In the end, Gujarat Titans ended up on the winning side as they won the game by six wickets. They aced the run-chase with a ball to spare as GT pulled off a thrilling run-chase.
