India’s star opening batsman KL Rahul is one of the best in the business when it comes to launching a counter-attacking approach in T20Is. He has done it time and time for the national cricket team.

Earlier, his comeback to international cricket after a long break was not pleasing. He made his return to the international circuit in the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe.

However, he hardly made an impact at the crease. He was also selected for the Asia Cup. However, the right-handed batter only made things worse by getting dismissed for a golden duck against Pakistan.

The talented batsman played five games for India in the Asia Cup 2022. He scored 132 runs at an average of 26.40. Rahul scored one half-century to his name.

Meanwhile, the Bengaluru-born is currently featuring in the T20I opener against the Australian cricket team. The first T20I between Australia and India is being played at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali.

Australian captain Aaron Finch won the toss and chose to bowl first. KL Rahul got off to a scintillating start as he took Australia’s bowling attack to the cleaners. He scored 50 off 32 balls with the help of 3 fours and 3 sixes.

KL Rahul once again made the headlines after he brought up his vintage version into the attacking approach against Australia. The classy batsman smashed a superb six off Josh Hazlewood with exceptional wrist work in the follow-through.

As it happened, he launched the ball into the stands. The commentators and fans ran short of adjectives and superlatives to describe the shot. Fans took to their respective Twitter handles and heaped praise on Rahul for his terrific shot.
