Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) appoint Ryan ten Doeschate as fielding coach – Reports
In the latest development, as per the reports in Cricbuzz, it is learned that two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have appointed Ryan ten Doeschate as fielding coach for the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The former Dutch player will replace James Foster, who will be joining as an assistant coach of the side. Ryan ten Doeschate was an integral part of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the year early years when they won titles in 2012 and 2014.
A source close to KKR confirmed Cricbuzz about the same and said: TenDo, as the former Netherlands captain is known, has ‘always been a Knight Rider’. Notably, the former Netherlands player announced his retirement from competitive cricket last year.
Talking about KKR’s campaign last year, It was a season to forget for them as they finished 8th on the points table and were the third team to be eliminated out of the IPL 2022.
It was a season, where KKR were low on confidence as they did lot of chopping and changing throughout the season and never really found the right balance. They would be hoping to come back stronger in the next season and add to their number of titles.
