In the latest development as per the reports in ANI, it is learned that former Indian player Roger Binny is all set to replace Sourav Ganguly as the president of the BCCI. The elections of the governing body are slated to take place on October 18th and various candidates have filed in their names for various posts.

It is learned that Binny is the front-runner to replace Ganguly, who is likely to take part in the elections for the post of the chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Binny, who is currently serving as a president of the Karnataka State Cricket Association, held the position of Indian selector earlier but was sacked as he was part of the Indian team.

The reports also suggest that BJP MLA Ashish Shelar is the front-runner to replace Arun Dhumal for the post of the BCCI Treasurer whereas Jay Shah and Rajiv Shukla are likely to retain their post of BCCI Secretary and vice-president respectively.
