Royal Challengers Bangalore player Virat Kohli has been finding himself at the centre of a few unwanted records in recent months. In the ongoing IPL 2022, too, Virat is unable to avoid a few such records. Against Chennai Super Kings, the player was clean bowled by Moeen Ali’s bowling. In this article, we take a look as Virat Kohli registers an unwanted record after getting bowled against Moeen Ali in IPL 2022.

Virat Kohli registers an unwanted record

The highest run-getter in IPL history, Virat Kohli is struggling for form at the moment. Known for his technical proficiency, Virat’s mode of dismissals in recent games has started worrying the Indian fans. Across formats, he is struggling to tackle the off-spinner. Against CSK, failing to play the delivery from the pitch of the ball, Virat allowed it to turn and hence, was bowled by Moeen Ali. This was a classical off-spinners wicket and Virat could not do much.

With that dismissal, Virat now stands at the top of this unwanted list. This chart contains batters who have been bowled the most number of times in IPL history. Clean bowled is an embarrassing form of getting out for a batter and it is surprising that a player of Virat’s stature is at the top of the list. Shikhar Dhawan and Shane Watson are other batters on the list.

The former RCB skipper needs to get back to form

After a couple of golden ducks, Virat has managed to score a few runs. However, his knocks have been 58(53) and 30(33). The former knock was, in a way, directly responsible for RCB‘s loss. Although he has made runs, Virat has been struggling to make them at a good rate. This is putting the other batters under pressure. Hence, to reverse it, Virat should be able to get back to his previous best at the earliest. This will help in RCB’s bid to make it to the playoffs.
