The ICC World Test Championship series between the Bangladesh cricket team and the Sri Lankan cricket team got underway earlier this week. Chattogram is playing host to the opening fixture of this series, and so far, batters of both nations have enjoyed batting in this match. The visitors posted a massive 397-run total on the board, riding on a 199-run knock from Angelo Mathews. Kasun Rajitha was impressed with the ball for the Sri Lankan cricket team.
Speaking about the first innings of the match, Mathews scored 199 runs off 397 runs, smashing 19 fours and one six. He received great support from Kusal Mendis and Dinesh Chandimal, who registered fifty each. Nayeem Hasan was the pick of the bowlers for the Bangladesh cricket team with a six-wicket haul. Shakib Al Hasan backed him with a three-wicket haul.
In reply, the Bangladesh cricket team managed to take a decent first-innings lead as they scored 465 runs in their first innings. Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim scored a hundred each for the Bangladesh cricket team, while wicket-keeper Litton Das and opening batter Mahmudul Hasan Joy smashed a fifty each. At the end of Day 4, Sri Lanka is 39/2 in the second innings.

Vishwa Fernando has been ruled out of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship match between the Sri Lankan cricket team and the Bangladesh cricket team.
As a concussion substitute, Kasun Rajitha has taken his place in the playing XI. And he impressed straightaway, scalping four wickets for the visitors. He became the first substitute to take four wickets in an innings. Sharing the world record that he created, a popular cricket statistician wrote on Twitter:
