India is currently locking horns with Australia in the warmup game ahead of their opening encounter ahead against Pakistan on October 23rd. The visitors were asked to bat first and it was an exhibition of high-class batting by KL Rahul.
Opening the batting, the right-hander took his team off the flyer and played fluent innings of 57 runs in 33 balls and made almost everyone applaud with his staggering stroke play.
Rahul outshined Rohit Sharma as when he was on 43 runs, the skipper was yet to open his account. He went from the ball 1 and smashed Australian bowlers all over the park. The Indian vice-captain brought up his fifty in just 27 balls.
Rahul played with a strike rate of 172.73 and his innings was laced with 4 fours and 3 sixes. He also stitched 78 runs partnership with Rohit Sharma (15) and helped his side start the innings on high.
