Mumbai Indians led by Rohit Sharma failed to bring the best out of themselves in the first two games of this season’s Indian Premier League. They lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first game.
After that, they surrendered at the hands of Chennai Super Kings in the second game. After facing two back-to-back defeats, Mumbai Indians rose from the ashes and notched up three wins in a row.
They defeated Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad in three successive games before losing to Punjab Kings in a closely-fought battle at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai recently.
Mumbai Indians need to win by 30 runs to enter Top 4
The five-time IPL champions have a tough job ahead as they will lock horns with Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans in the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League.
The blockbuster clash will kick off at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. It will be quite interesting to see which team will win tonight’s clash at the world’s largest cricket stadium.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians are currently placed seventh on the IPL 2023 points table with three wins and three defeats so far in the competition. On the other hand, Gujarat Titans, the defending champions are now at the fourth place in the table.
Hardik Pandya and Co have won four games and lost the rest of the two games. The five-time IPL champions need to win the upcoming game against Gujarat Titans by 30 runs in order to enter the Top 4 spot.
Rohit Sharma and Co will be looking forward to giving it all in the game in a bid to win the match by a decent margin to enter the Top 4. In case they bat second, they will have to finish off the game in 17 overs depending on the target. The upcoming fixture is expected to have plenty of exciting things in store for the fans.
