Meanwhile, the Afghan reserved the highest respect for former Indian captain Virat Kohli during the post-match press conference after Islamabad United beat Peshawar Zalmi.

Plying his trade for Islamabad United, the young cricketer from Afghanistan led the batting attack by example as he smashed 62 off 31 balls with the help of seven boundaries and four hits over the fence at a strike rate of 200.
