Mike Hussey hits out at Justin Langer for coward remark
Meanwhile, former Australian cricketer Michael Hussey launched a scathing attack on Justin Langer for the latter’s recent remarks, where he termed the Australian cricketers as “coward”.
The former Australian head coach spoke in length about his fallout with Cricket Australia, after which he had stepped down as the coach of the national team. He made such bold and straightforward comments during a recent interaction with the BackChat podcast.
Meanwhile, Langer had clarified his comments and dismissed the alleged rift with some of the current cricketers of the Australian national cricket team.
Langer further clarified his remarks by stating that his relationship with Australian cricketers is totally good despite calling it quits as the head coach earlier this year.
Langer stepped down after Australia won the showpiece event under Aaron Finch’s captaincy last year. Besides that, Australia also won the iconic Ashes under the tutelage of Justin Langer.
Despite boasting a pretty good record as a head coach, winning the T20 World Cup and Ashes, he made a shocking revelation adding that he got sacked.
Reports were rife that the current players of the Australian cricket team were having an issue with Justin Langer’s coaching style and thus he resigned as the head coach.
Mike Hussey highlighted that the timing of it is not perfect and added that he is upset about the process transpired. Last but not least, he said that things could have been handled properly by Cricket Australia in the first place.
