Indian star Virat Kohli is celebrating his 34th birthday on Saturday (5th November). The right-hander is currently in Australia with Indian Cricket Team, who are playing T20 World Cup 202, and celebrated his occasion with his teammates.
Team India is on the verge of qualifying for the semi-finals as they are currently sitting on the top of the points table of Group B with 4 wins out of their four games. They are next slated to play Zimbabwe on Sunday (6th November) and a win will take them through the semi-finals.
One of the main reasons behind India being in a strong position is Virat Kohli. The right-hander has been in the red hot form and has played some sensational innings in the tournament. Having scored three fifties so far, the former Indian skipper is the leading run-getter in the T20 World Cup 2022 with 220 runs at a 220 average.
He’s expected to play a huge role for his side in the knockout stages. Kohli celebrated his 33rd birthday in Melbourne. He was seen cutting the cake with his teammates at the hotel which was followed by the celebrations.
However, he won the hearts of many when after cutting his birthday cake, he said: “I would prefer to cut the only cake which is next Sunday (World Cup Final)”.
