“One Good Thing To Come Out Of CSK This IPL Is Dube”- Twitter Reacts As Shivam Destroys RCB Bowling

The Royal Challengers Bangalore were the first franchise to sign Shivam Dube at the IPL Auction. They roped in the southpaw after his exploits in domestic cricket. However, the all-rounder failed to get going and could not contribute much to the team. As a result, he was released ahead of the 2021 season. Rajasthan Royals signed him next.

Dube showed glimpses of his domestic form while playing for the Rajasthan Royals, but he was inconsistent. This year, the Chennai Super Kings bought him at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. The decision has proven to be a masterstroke so far as Dube has scored big for the Chennai-based franchise in the matches that he has played.

Earlier tonight while playing against his former franchise, Dube registered his career-best score of 95. He had a chance to complete the first hundred of his Indian Premier League, but the Chennai Super Kings star could not connect the last ball well. He needed six for a century but could not score. He got one run and ended with 95.

Talking to the host broadcasters at the end of the first innings, the all-rounder said:

“Just keeping it simple. Nothing special. Just watching the ball. I’m used to this ground, so I was just trying to be disciplined in my batting. (On what MSD said to him before the final ball) Just keep calm and keep watching the ball. Nothing else. It’s still pretty dry today. That’s good for us.”
