England international Joe Root has been actively plying his trade in Test cricket compared to the other two formats in international cricket. His last T20I appearance came against Pakistan in 2019.

On the other hand, his last ODI appearance came against South Africa on July 24, 2022. He was last seen in cricketing action during the Test series against the Pakistan national cricket team last December.

Joe Root was part of the team that went on to inflict a 3-0 whitewash on the Pakistan cricket team. Thus, England became the first team to complete a historic Test series over Pakistan in Pakistan.
