After Delhi Capitals won the toss and elected to field first in Sunday’s IPL match in Guwahati, Rajasthan Royals got off to a blazing start thanks to batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler. In the opening over of the game, Yashasvi smashed Khaleel for five boundaries. Then, Buttler followed it up by smashing Anrich Nortje for three boundaries. The pair brought the powerplay score to 68 without getting dismissed. Yashasvi continued the onslaught by reaching fifty off just 25 balls.

Yashasvi Jaiswal tried to pull a short delivery from Mukesh Kumar and instead skied it, to be caught by the bowler himself. The captain Sanju Samson was dismissed for a 4-ball duck by Kuldeep Yadav.

Delhi, who are yet to win in this IPL, have made significant changes to their starting lineup. Manish Pandey, Rovman Powell, and Lalit Yadav have been given more playing time than the underachieving Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan. However, Rajasthan has chosen to field Dhruv Jurel in their starting eleven.

The previous game against the Punjab Kings was Jurel’s debut as Impact Player, and he made quite the impact. The Rajasthan team has replaced KM Asif, who gave up more than 50 runs, with Sandeep Sharma.
