T20 international cricket started with a match between Australia and New Zealand in 2005. At that time, most members of the cricket universe saw T20I cricket as an exhibition form of the game because the match lasted for only 240 balls. However, the format has evolved a lot and is now one of the top forms of the sport.
Since the 2007 T20 World Cup, the shortest format of the game has gained immense popularity, and it is a regular thing to see players prioritizing the T20 format over Test match cricket. The bilateral series and T20 World Cup give the nations a chance to show off their T20 cricketing abilities.
The Indian cricket team has excelled in this format because they won the first-ever ICC T20 World Cup in 2007 and yesterday became the fastest country to register 100 T20 international wins. The Indian team became the second nation after the Pakistan cricket team to touch this milestone.
As pointed out by a Twitter user, the Men in Blue took 155 matches to complete their 100th victory. It came against the West Indies cricket team at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Previously, the Pakistan team took 163 matches to complete 100 wins, meaning the Men in Blue did the same thing in eight matches less.

Indian team can register their 101st T20I win against West Indies tomorrow evening
The Indian team will be in action tomorrow evening against the West Indies team again at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The Men in Blue have taken a 2-0 lead in the series and will look to try some new players ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 scheduled to happen later this year in Australia.
West Indies came close to winning in the second T20I, but they fell short by eight runs. It will be interesting to see if the two-time T20 World Cup champions can avoid a whitewash.
