Barring the first Test in Nagpur, Indian batter Virat Kohli has looked good in the field with the bat. He has been doing all the hard work but is failing to carry on and make the big scores.

In the second Test in Delhi, Kohli looked at his best and played exceptionally well. He scored 44 runs on the pitch, where the top order struggled to get going. He crafted his innings staggeringly well and then played a good hand in the second inning as well.

In the ongoing third Test in Indore, Kohli was the best batter for India on the pitch, which has turned a lot. The right-hander batted exceptionally well for the 52 balls and looked more settled than every other batter.

Kohli scored 22 runs with the help of two boundaries in a time when India lost 5 wickets in the space of 18 runs. He settled the innings for a short span of time and looked good to the eye. But a lapse of concentration saw him back in the hut.

Kohli looked really settled with his nimble footwork. But he fell to Todd Murphy. He tried to play the forward lunge blocks but the ball drifted a touch quicker than anticipated and stayed really low to beat him on the inside edge.
